Ann M. (Brady) McLean, 88, of Worcester, a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away surrounded by her adoring family on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 in her home. Her husband of 38 years, Andrew P. McLean passed away January 14, 1986. Ann was born on April 30, 1925 in Uxbridge, Massachusetts and was preceded in death by her father Thomas F. Brady and her mother Mary (Barry) Brady. She was a graduate of Uxbridge High School and attended Worcester State Teachers College. She is survived by her three sons, Andrew P. McLean, Jr. and his wife Louise of, Stillwater, NJ; James F. McLean and his wife Ellen of Paxton and John T. McLean and his wife Sharon of Worcester; eight daughters, Catherine M. Bowers of Onset, Nancy E. Barry and her husband Robert of Falmouth, Mary F. Sanginario and her husband Brian of Worcester, Margaret E. Kenworthy of Worcester, Barbara A. Ramm and her husband Scott of Worcester; Carol D. Barry and her husband Dennis of Rutland, Patricia L. Bates and her husband Michael of Holden and Elizabeth E. McGinn and her husband Peter of Worcester; two sisters, Clare Smith of Woonsocket, RI and Alice T. Creighton of Uxbridge, MA. She is also survived by her twenty grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Marie McLean and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her brother, Thomas J. Brady and two sisters, Catherine Brady and Margaret Smith. Ann's greatest joy was raising her eleven children who she lovingly called "the flowers in my garden". She loved to travel enjoying Ireland, Paris and Germany with her husband. She also loved to take her children, and later her grandchildren, on "mystery rides". Ann loved the ocean, especially Cape Cod, spending many enjoyable weeks there. Ann worked for many years for the Worcester Police Department as a clerk in the records department. She also worked for H&R Block. Family, friends, and others whose lives Ann touched are invited to MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2014. Her funeral will be celebrated Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from the funeral home with a procession to Notre Dame du Lac Chapel, 555 Plantation Street, Worcester where her Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow to St. John's Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband.
