James J. Hearn, Jr., 67 of Sebastian, FL, formerly of Lewisburg, TN and Worcester, MA passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014 in Sebastian Medical Center, Sebastian, FL after an illness. Born August 4, 1946, he was the son of James J. Hearn, Sr and Janet A. (Lemoine) Hearn. Jim attended St. Stephens School, Grafton Street Junior High and graduated from North High School. He accepted a position at the General Motors Corporation in Framingham until its closing. Jim then followed car manufacturing to the Saturn Plant in Spring Hill, TN, where he worked until retiring and moving to Florida. His wife, Ouida (Wiersma) Hearn, passed away October 20, 2013. Jim is survived by his son, Joseph P. Hearn and his sons, Camden and Tyler; and a daughter Jacquelyn M. Gabriele her husband, Roy and their children, Anthony, Victoria and Nicholas. James also leaves four siblings, Lynda Cote; Susan wife of George Pressey; Karen and Paul Hearn as well as many nieces, nephews, his former wife Jane (Riordan) Hearn and longtime friends, Bobby Ryder and Milton "Red" Moran with whom he worked at General Motors. Besides his parents and wife, James was predeceased by his son, James J. Hearn, III and his sister, Patricia A. Casey. James was a member of the UAW Local 422 in Massachusetts transferring to the UAW Local 1853 in Tennessee. A memorial Mass for Jim will be held Monday, February 17, 2014 at 10:30 am at St. John's Church, 44 Temple Street, Worcester. There will be a private burial at St. John's Cemetery at a later time. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. John's Church Food Pantry, 44 Temple St, Worcester.
