Adele (Husson) Dadah, of Northboro, formerly of Worcester; a devoted mother, Sittu and sister passed away surrounded by the ones she loved Saturday, February 15th in the Coleman House. Adele was born in Worcester in 1933, one of six children of Lebanese immigrants Andrew and Bessie (David) Husson. She grew up in the Syrian/Lebanese neighborhood of Worcester, and graduated from Worcester Girls Trade School. Just out of high school Adele met and married in 1952, the love of her life, Russell J. Dadah, Sr. whom she shared the next 30 wonderful years until he passed away in 1982. Together they raised three devoted children who survive her, Russell J. Dadah, Jr. and his wife Elaine of Gardner, Valarie Billings and her husband Gerald of North Grafton, Diane Aselbekian-Mauro and her husband Brian of Mashpee; As sittu she cherished the seven grandchildren her children gave her, Christopher, Jonathan, Justin, Russell III, Michael, Gregory and Zachary and three great grandsons, Justin, Gabriel and Jack. She also leaves her best friend and sister, Shirley Dowd of Worcester; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends; Four siblings, Very Rev. Michael Husson, Elias and George Husson and Mae Husson-Pignataro all pre deceased her. Adele worked many years creating custom draperies for various companies including Anderson Window Fashions in Worcester. She previously co owned with the Dadah family, Dadah's market on June Street for over 40 years. Adele was a member of St George Orthodox Cathedral, its women's club and when able she volunteered on many church committees. Adele was an avid card player and enjoyed the occasional trips to the casinos. She had many friends and loved attending local dances. She also had a wonderful sense of humor that lit up any room or function she attended with laughter and fun. Most of all Adele was "Sittu", a grandmother who cherished her grandchildren and was happiest when they were with her. They inspirited her life which will be missed by family and many friends. Adele's funeral service will be held tomorrow, Monday at 10:00 am in St George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna Street. Burial next to her husband will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. A period of calling hours will be held Monday from 9 am to 9:45 in the Cathedral prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St George Orthodox Cathedral Endowment fund, 30 Anna St. Worcester 01604.
