Agnes M. Esper, of Worcester a simple, gentle women passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 12th 2014 with family by her side after a period of declining health. She was 91. Agnes was born in North Grafton one of six children of Lebanese immigrants Solomon and Sophie (Saliba) Esper. Her family moved to Worcester shortly after her birth where she grew up and graduated from Commerce High School. Agnes then worked for several department stores before being offered and accepting a position in the Medical Records Department of Worcester City Hospital, where she remained for 32 years before retiring in 1989. Agnes was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and its Women's Club; The AARP and State, County and Municipal employees association. Her enjoyments included her nieces and nephews who she thought of as her children, reading and travel. Agnes is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Her brothers, George and James Esper, as well as sisters Eva Farrah, Lena Nejamy and Lillian Haddad all pre deceased her. Funeral services in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 256 Hamilton St follow by entombment in Notre Dame Mausoleum are private. There are no calling hours.
