Carlo M. Trafecante, 70 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at home. Carlo is survived by his two sons, Michael F. Trafecante and his wife Mary Beth of Shelton, CT and Derrick J. Trafecante of Millbury; his daughter, Carleen A. Trafecante of Worcester; seven granddaughters, Kelly and Stephanie Corio, Marissa, Mikaela, Mia, Madison and Mackenzie Trafecante; one grandson, Anthony D'Onofrio; two great grandchildren, K.J. Taylor and Kamryn Brown; many nieces, nephews and friends. His is predeceased by three brothers, Francis C. Trafecante, Philip C. Trafecante and Richard Banach. Carlo was born in Worcester, a son of the late Francis and Estelle (Pagurek) Trafecante. He was a lifelong resident of Worcester. Carlo was a mainstay in the community, working for various companies retiring in 2010. He loved his home, family and friends, arranging gatherings, cookouts and parties with them. Carlo was a lifelong friend and companion to many, if he was your friend he was there for life. He would get together to just hang out or would even call you just to chat. The best times of Carlo's life were spent with them, sharing, laughing and just enjoying being together. Carlo will forever be remembered as a wonderful man, father, grandfather and friend. Services for Carlo will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial will be held privately. A period of calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 11th from 5-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
