Donna M. (Fegreus) Buffone, 63, of Worcester a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and Registered Nurse passed away unexpectedly to soon Wednesday January 15th 2014 with her devoted family gathered by her side. Donna was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late, Carlton and Eleanor (Brown) Fegreus; she graduated from Worcester Public Schools, met and married her husband and best friend for the next 48 years, Theodore "Ted" Buffone. They settled in Worcester, to raise their family. Donna then enrolled in Becker College School of Nursing earning her degree as a registered nurse. She has lived here all her life. Donna worked as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years for St Vincent Hospital, still working at the time of her death. She is survived by her husband Ted: her three children, Christopher Buffone and his wife Elizabeth of Oxford, Matthew Buffone and his wife Christine of Brookfield, Julie Kulesza and her husband Gerald of Worcester; five grandchildren she was devoted to, Elly, Brody, Sophia, Stella, & Charlie; a brother John Fegreus and his wife Terry; Neices, nephews, extended family and friends. Donna was a member of the Massachusetts Nurse Association. She devoted her entire life to caring for others. As a wife and mother she cared for her husband children, and grandchildren with her life's energy and devotion. Nothing made her happier than having her family with and around her. In her work she cared for, comforted and dedicated her working life to those ill and to families under strain. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family, Wednesday, January 22nd from 4 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. A prayer service will follow at 7 pm. Burial will be private. Memorial remembrances in Donna's name can be made to the St Vincent Hospital Cancer Center, 123 Summer Street, Worcester Ma.
