Anita P. (West) Gubber-Keefe Anita P. (West), age 78 of Worcester passed January 16, 2014 surrounded by family. Beloved wife of her second husband the late William Keefe and William Gubber from her first marriage. Loving mother of James G. Gubber and his fiance Lisa Sears of Charlton Ma, her son the late Jeff Gubber and her daughter Cheryl (Keefe) Lukas of Ludlow Ma. Dear grandmother of Nicole, Courtney, Cory, Ellisa, Jarad and Kristol Gubber. Great grandmother of Aubrey. Sister of the late Louise M. Mynatt, Howard D. West and Evelyn H. Colby. Anita retired after many years as meat room manager at Fortin's Market and retired in 2012 from Putnam Hallmark Cards and Gifts. Anita was a avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. She loved to dance, travel and was very active in her church. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Sunday, January 19th from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Monday, January 20th from the Funeral Home with a procession to Our Lady of Angels Church 1220 Main St., Worcester, where her Mass of celebration will be held at 11:00 am. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
