Michael E. Loverro

Michael E. Loverro, 59, of Worcester passed peacefully Wednesday January 15 2014 in the UMASS Medical Center Memorial Campus surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Michael is survived by his wife of 37 years Elizabeth (Pierce) Loverro, his two sons; Michael J. Loverro and his companion Farrah Rusack of Worcester and Brian M. Loverro and his wife Ashley of Oxford. A grandson who was his whole life Michael J. Loverro Jr. Mike also leaves his brothers Albert Loverro, and Anthony Loverro his caretaker, and sisters Joanne Quitadamo, Of North Grafton, Kathy Loverro and Lisa Mongeau and her husband Timothy both of Worcester, and Lucy Martell also of North Grafton, and many nieces and nephews. Mike also leaves his beloved canine friend Molly. Michael was born in Worcester son of the late Albert and Irene (Jason) Loverro and lived here all his life. He was a graduate of North High School, and received his CPT in Phlebotomy from Anna Maria College. He worked for several area companies. Michael was a long time member of the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann. He enjoyed Fishing, Backgammon, and always being the one to help people no matter what, he was always there ready to do whatever needed to be done. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be sadly missed by everyone. Mike's funeral will be held Monday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St.with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann 24 Mulberry St. Calling hours will be held from 3:00PM to 6:00PM on Sunday. Interment will be private.
