Deborah A. Peterson was born on May 5, 1955 and passed peacefully January 9, 2014 surrounded by those who loved her. At her passing her family is sure Deb was met in heaven with the warm and loving arms of her parents Alfred E. (Pete) Peterson Jr. and Grace (Piscillo) Peterson. Deb was born and raised in Worcester and resided in Paxton, Ma for the past 17 years. Deb is survived by her brother Alfred E. (Pete) Peterson III and his wife, Sherri, her sister Fran Peterson, her spouse Michelle; her nephew Karl Peterson, her niece Melissa (Peterson) Somers as well as extended family including her Uncle William (Bill) Piscillo. Deb will not only be missed by her family but also by her extended family from the Seven Hills Foundation including her friend Rose, who had been Deb's friend since her teenage years. Deb was able to reside with her friends at her home in Paxton due to the kind, loving care she received from the staff of Seven Hills. Their compassion and commitment to Deb's care allowed her to live a long and full life. Deb enjoyed spending time gardening and her time at the Bemis Farm Nursery in Spencer. Deb was also fond of the time she spent at The Friends of Richards Memorial Library in Paxton where she was always met with a warm greeting. Deb also enjoyed music and taking van rides with her friends. Deb lead a quiet life due to her disabilities and she touched our lives and soul, and her presence in our life is a gift we will always be thankful for. Deb left a large impression on all who knew her. Deb's family would like to thank the Seven Hills Foundation for their dedication and love not only during Deb's time at home but also during the last difficult week of her life. Their care and support gave Deb great comfort during her final days. We would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and especially Molly Page LICSW of UMass- Memorial Hospital in the Critical Care Unit. Their professionalism, thoughtfulness, guidance and compassion allowed Deb to pass peacefully and with dignity. "Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy." Debs life will be celebrated with a private memorial service.
