Florence Raymond

Florence (Gure) Raymond, 83 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at The Meadows in Leicester. Florence is survived by her loving husband of thirty-seven years, Norman C. Raymond. Florence was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Peter and Olga (Danko) Gure. She graduated from Worcester Public Schools. She received her Bachelor's degree in teaching from Worcester State College and later received her Master's degree in theology from Boston University. Florence worked as a second grade teacher for Framingham Elementary School for forty years retiring in 2005. A period of calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 1-3 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a memorial service immediately following at 3 pm. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice.
