Margaret Polissack

Margaret Polissack, 94, of Worcester died unexpectedly on Monday January 6, 2014 in the Harrington Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Her husband Robert S. Polissack died in 2001, Margaret leaves her loving family; a son Robert Polissack and his wife Carole, her daughters; Catherine Ford and her husband Edward, Mary Gabrila whose husband was the late Lenny Gabrila, Patricia Cordella and her husband Robert. Margaret was the doting grandmother to Lisa Grokaitis and her husband Anthony, Karen Johnson and her husband Eric, Michael, Daniel and Bonnie Cordella, Amy Gabrila and her partner Lynette Moon and their son Sean, Emily Arguin and her partner Ken Cetrone, and five great grandchildren, Tyler, Trevor, Lana, Corinna,and Tristan. Margaret also leaves her sister Mary Ciccarelli who is 101 years old, and a niece Catherine Bowman, and nephew Louis Ciccarelli, and several great nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother Francis. Margaret was born in Bisceglia, Bari Italy daughter of the late Domenico and Catherine (Catina) and came to the United States when she was 8 years old. She worked for the Nancy Howard Company as a seamstress for many years, and then worked for the Adcare Hospital which she retired from. Margaret attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church and its Golden Years Club and also the Leisure Club at Our Lady of Loreto Church.She enjoyed playing bingo, watching the Red sox, and a good day at the Casino!. However her most treasured times were those spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Margaret's Funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. A visitation with the family will be held from 9:00AM to 11:00AM in the funeral home prior to the service.
