Tina (Nicassio) Esber, 70, a long term resident of Holden, Shrewsbury and West Boylston passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness. Tina a devoted, loving and caring mother and grandmother who cherished her family very much, was born in Canneto, Italy, a suburb of Bari, one of five children. Tina at age 14 and her family moved from Italy to Glendale, CA where she attended Glendale High and Glendale College. Tina is survived by her husband of 47 years, Henry J. Esber, 2 daughters, Sonya A. Esber and Tanya M. Esber-Franco, 2 grandaughters who she loved so very much, Gianna and Nikki Franco. She is also survived by two sisters Maria (Nicassio) Cascarano and Teresa (Nicassio) Russo, both of San Dimas, CA., two brothers, Giuseppe (Joe) Nicassio of Glendale, CA and Nick Nicassio of Scottsdale, AZ as well as many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5PM to 7PM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. A funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday January 3, in the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann 24 Mulberry St. A private burial will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Tina's name can be made to ARCH way Inc. 77 Mulberry St. Leicester, MA.01521 which is a residential home for children with autism.
