Lynis J. (Sebring) Masiello, passed away December 25th 2013 in her home with the family she loved by her side, at the age of 73. Lynis was born in Quincy Mass, one of six children born to the late, Herbert and June (Hodgkinson) Sebring. She met and married the love of her life, Frank J. Masiello in 1959. Together they settled in Worcester to raise their family until moving to Oxford in 1970. She has lived there ever since. Lynis is survived by her husband of 54 years Frank; five devoted children, Joel Masiello and his wife Lorie of Webster, Matthew Masiello and his wife Jessika, Tanya Bates and her husband Garry and their children Rachel, Sonny and Kristin and her husband Mike Dagilis, Stephanie Messina and her husband Dean, Angela Krohn and her husband Luke all of Oxford; five siblings, William and Stephen Sebring and Carol Singler all of Braintree, Marcia Flaherty of Randolph and Nancy Brooks of Virginia; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Lynis worked many years for the Saad family as a cashier with the Central Mass Auto Auction before retiring. She previously worked for the Arnold Bakery, the Town of Oxford Housing Authority and Key Engineering Company. She was affectionately known as the "Scrabble Queen" and loved crossword puzzles. She enjoyed many summers at Cape Cod and York, Maine. Lynis and Frank were very devoted to their faith. They were active members of the Oxford Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. They volunteered for Kingdom Hall building programs, helping to construct many of the Kingdom Halls in New England and the Northeast. Lynis, a wonderful woman with a warm smile, cherished her family and friends. She especially loved the moments she could spend with her children and grandchildren. Her family would like to thank everyone who helped care for her at her home and at Summit in Charlton. Many thanks, their help was invaluable, and our appreciation endless. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 11th at 4 pm in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, at 52 Old Webster Road, Oxford Mass. There are no calling hours.
