Ann T. (McPartland) Giaquinto, 85, of Barre, formerly of Worcester at the Colony Apartments, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the Christopher House of Worcester. She was predeceased by her husband, Graziano Giaquinto, and their son, Joseph Giaquinto. Ann is survived by her children, a son, John F. Giaquinto and his wife Patricia of Dudley; a daughter, Ann M. Giaquinto-Scott and her husband James Scott of Barre; two sisters, Patricia "Pat" Mulhearn and Katherine "Kay" Ekberg both of Worcester; six grandchildren, Christopher and Gregory Giaquinto, Beth Cass and her husband Brandon, Guilia Herrick and her husband Wade, Michael and Joseph Porter; many great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a brother William McPartland and by a sister Jane Hunt. Ann was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Myles and Katherine (Rittberg) McPartland. She grew up in Worcester and graduated from Commerce High School. She later moved to Dudley, where she lived for many years raising her loving family, before returning to Worcester and moving to Barre last year. Ann worked as a cashier for many years at both Sears and Ames Department stores. She had been a member of St Anthony's and Immaculate Conception Churches and the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed summer vacations at the beach, traveling, her home and her family and was dedicated to Novenas. Calling hours for Ann will be held on Sunday, December 29, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. The Funeral will be held on Monday, December 30, from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester.
