Clara (Terlizzi) Guertin

Clara R. (Terlizzi) Guertin, 97, of Bridgewater, New Jersey, formerly of Shrewsbury and Worcester died peacefully Sunday December 15, 2013 in New Jersey surrounded by her loving family. Her husband Wilfred "Bunum" Guertin, and a son Michael Guertin predeceased her. Clara is survived by a daughter Flora and her husband Louis Costantini of Bridgewater New Jersey, 5 grandchildren and their spouses,19 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Clara also leaves her sisters Leona Lapomardo, and Rose Rutigliano, and her sisters in law, Lena and Mickey Terlizzi many nephews and nieces. Clara was one of 12 siblings in the large Terlizzi family. Clara was born in Worcester daughter of the late Michael and Carmela (Zammaro) Terlizzi and lived here many years before moving to New Jersey to be near her daughter. Clara ,along with her husband owned and operated Guertin's Café in Worcester for many years before they retired. Clara was a force of good in life, she was devoted to her family, and honored and appreciated by her relatives for her devotion to them. Clara loved to cook and be with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed. Clara's funeral will be held Friday morning from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation st. with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM in the Church of St. Anne 130 Boston Turnpike Shrewsbury. A calling hour will be held from 9:00AM until 10:30AM in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Mausoleum.
