Victor M. Rivera, 79, of Worcester, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013, in Saint Vincent Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Victor is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Carmen Luisa (Lopez) Rivera; two daughters, Carmen Tomlinson and Maria J. Forson, both of Worcester; two sons, Martin F. Rivera of Gulfport, MS and Miguel A. Rivera of Worcester; three brothers; two sisters; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico, son of the late Angel and Cecilia (Colon) Rivera. He grew up in Puerto Rico, before moving to Worcester thirty-seven years ago. Victor worked for many years in the wire and cable industry, retiring from Mohawk Wire and Cable Company in Leominster. He was a member of Saint John's Church in Worcester. Calling hours and Funeral Services will take place on Friday morning, December 27, with Calling hours from 9 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. in Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Saint John's Church, 44 Temple Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery.
