Joseph J. Cicero, 84, of Worcester, died peacefully Tuesday December 10, 2013 in the Autumn Village Nursing Center. His wife of 48 Years Rita A. (Guidi) Cicero died in 2006. Joseph is survived by his family; Sons, Joseph J.Cicero Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Douglas, Anthony Cicero and his wife Cheryl, 8 grandchildren ; Sean, Joseph 3rd Christopher, Matthew, Michael, Brian, Christen and Alexis.A sister Bella Sabacinski and two Brothers Giacomo Cicero "Jack" and James Cicero,and a sister in law Stella Cicero and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Leo, Philip, and James Cicero, and also 2 sisters Anna Assad and Mary Scano. Joseph was born in the Bronx N.Y. son of the late Carlo and Felicia(Sciascia) Cicero and came to Worcester as a child. He attended Worcester Public Schools. Joe served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a Foreman at Mass Electric for many years before he retired. Joseph attended Our Lady of Loreto Church and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church. He was a member of Pope John Council XX111 Knights of Columbus, The Italian American Veteran's Post #3, the East Side Improvement Club, and was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans Association. Joe enjoyed a good card game and loved being with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed. A funeral Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday in the Church of Our Lady of Mt Carmel-St Ann 24 Mulberry St. Interment with Military Honors followed in St. Johns Cemetery.
