Susan M. (Nowalski) Montalvo-Brigham, 65, of Worcester, died Wednesday, November 27, 2013, after a long struggle with cancer, at the Millbury Healthcare Center, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her daughters, Christine Montalvo and Colleen Montalvo; her son, Mark Montalvo; three grandchildren, Alexis, with whom she lived, Alex and Edwin; four great grandchildren. She also leaves Felix Mullins, her partner of many years, a brother, Joseph Nowalski; her sister in law and best friend, Antoinette Donovan; many nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, William and Mary (Donovan) Nowalski, two brothers Donald Donovan and Kevin Nowalski, and by a sister, Shirley Donovan. Susan graduated from Girls Trade School in Worcester. She worked at Allmerica Insurance for many years and also at Red Cab of Worcester. Susan was a lifelong parishioner of St. John's Catholic Church. Susan enjoyed life completely and loved her family with unconditional devotion. She had a ready and beautiful smile for all and will be missed by everyone whose life she touched. Susan's family would like to thank Dana Farber Cancer Center and the Millbury Healthcare Center for their kindness and care. Calling hours will be held today (Sunday) December 1, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 7, at 10 a.m. in Saint John's Church, 44 Temple Street, Worcester. Interment will be in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester.
