Pamela Helen (Katinas) Johnson, 42, of Worcester - a wonderful, loving daughter and sister passed away Thursday, November 21st 2013, with the family who loved her by her side after a brief illness. Pamela was one of seven children born to Paul and Helen (Brock) Katinas. She was a devoted member of a large close family growing up in Worcester and graduating from South High Community School. She was employed by UMass Memorial for a number of years and was later self-employed. Pam is survived by her devoted parents, Paul and Helen (Brock) Katinas; her six siblings, Paul Katinas and his wife Linda of Worcester, Francis Katinas and his wife Pamela of Auburn, Stephen Katinas and his wife Jamie of Sutton, Diane Brown and her husband Michael of Worcester, Patricia O'Leary and her husband Michael of Millbury, Susan Mathews and her husband Franklin of Auburn; fifteen nephews and nieces who loved "Auntie Pam" dearly and who she loved in return as her own children, and many other extended family and close friends. She was predeceased by her best friend, a Golden Retriever named "Daisy". Pam loved to golf and would enjoy a round on any course she could play. She loved animals, she loved to read, the sunshine and beaches. Pam had a passion in caring for the elderly, and made friends wherever she went. Most of all she loved to be with her family, she loved being called "Auntie Pam" and found so much enjoyment with her brothers, sisters and parents. Nothing made her happier then when they were all together, laughing, loving and enjoying all the special moments. Pamela's funeral will be celebrated at 10:00 am Wednesday in Our Lady of Vilna Church, 151 Sterling Street. The family will receive friends from 9 am to the time of the mass at Our Lady of Vilna Church, 151 Sterling Street. A private burial of ashes will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Pam's name to the University of Massachusetts 7-ICU, 55 Lake Ave North, Worcester, MA 01655.
