She enjoyed horseback riding and was Co-Captain of the equestrian team at Clark. She had a passion for animals and their well being. Charlene loved her family, and was a devoted friend; it has been said that once she was your friend, she was your friend for life. Her selflessness toward helping those in need, led her to establish Paws For The Cause Inc. in November 2010, a non-profit charitable organization, whose mission it is to promote Cancer awareness in the community, to raise funds to help find a cure for Cancer, and to provide monetary support for local individuals and families facing financial burdens associated with Cancer treatment. The organization is dedicated to continuing the successful fundraising events, which were originally designed for "Team Charlene".
