Jane R. Hunt

Jane R. (McPartland) Hunt, 88 of Worcester, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Christopher House in Worcester surrounded by her loving family. Jane's husband, Thomas F. Hunt, Jr. passed away in 1991. She is survived by two sons, James F. Hunt and his wife Bonnie of Boylston and Thomas M. Hunt and his wife Deborah of Worcester; two daughters, Susan M. Johnson and her husband Steven of Pasco, WA and Kathleen J. Dunn and her husband James of Lowell; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Hunt of Worcester; three sisters, Patricia Mulhern and Katherine "Kay" Ekberg both of Worcester and Anne Giaquinto of Barre; fifteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two sons, Kevin E. and Daniel R. Hunt; a daughter, Mary Ellen Hunt; a daughter-in-law, Caroline J. Hunt; a brother, William McPartland. Jane was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Myles and Katherine (Rittberg) McPartland. She graduated from South High School and has lived here all her life. She worked as a waitress for forty five years at Eden Garden and Barber's Crossing. Jane was a member of Our Lady of Providence Church. She enjoyed AARP Trips and vacationing around the world with her sisters. The Hunt family would like to thank all the staff at The Christopher House and The Jewish Healthcare Hospice for the outstanding care and compassion given to Jane. Jane's funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 5th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior to her funeral service.
