Mary A. (Bronzo) Gerardi

February 18, 1917 — October 22, 2013

Mary A. Bronzo Gerardi, 96, of Worcester, died peacefully with her devoted family by her side on October 22, 2013. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years William ( Willow) F. Gerardi, who died in 2002. She is survived by her four loving children, daughters, Brenda Gerardi-Guzzi, wife of Richard, Maureen Gerardi, Lois Gerardi - Lammi, wife of Allan and son, William Gerardi Jr. and his wife Diane. Four adored grandchildren, W. Bradford Lammi, Emily, Michael and Lisa Gerardi. She leaves a sister, Rose M. Ricchuti, many sister-in laws, brother- in laws, nieces and nephews and her wonderful friends. Mary was born in Worcester the daughter of Donato and Antoinette (Pierro) Bronzo. She graduated from Commerce High School and attended Becker College. She went to work for Independent Plating Company and Worcester Chrome Furniture as a bookkeeper for over fifty years. She was also a managing partner for RAMMA Realty Trust Co. for 2o years. Mary was predeceased by four brothers, Frank, Michael, Vito and Anthony Bronzo and three sisters Minnie Trafecante, Lena Trafecante, and Anna Buduo. Mary was a fabulous Italian cook, who enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, the Golden Years Club, the Beato Angelo D'Acri Society. The former Women's Auxiliary Veterans Post 201, the Sons of Italy Society Lodge # 168, and was a past President of the Worcester Junior Lodge. Mary and her husband traveled to Italy many times as well as other countries in Europe, South America and all over the USA spending many winters in Florida. Mary was an extraordinary woman whose generosity touched many lives. Being a wife, mother and grandmother were the things she cherished the most along with spending time with family and close friends. She has left a lasting legacy on all who knew her. Her death leaves a void in our lives but her affectionate smile and love will linger on. We will miss you mother, you have been the greatest gift in our lives. Mary's funeral will be held Friday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial to be held in the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann 24 Mulberry St. at 11:30AM. Calling hours will be held Friday morning only from 9:00AM to11:00AM prior to the funeral Mass. Interment will be with her husband Willow in St. Johns Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St. Ann Renovation Fund, 24 Mulberry St. Worc. MA.01604.
