Marjorie I. "Marge" (Larson) McGinn, 79, of Worcester, formerly of Paxton, passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 12th 2013 after a period of declining health. Marjorie was born in Worcester, one of five children born to Hugo and Eva (Giles) Larson. She grew up in Auburn, and graduated from Auburn High School. In 1965, she married her love and devoted husband for the next 48 years, Richard J. McGinn. Together they settled in Paxton where they raised their family, before moving to Worcester. Marjorie began her employed years as underwriter with the Traveler's Insurance, then as office manager for the Midas Muffler Company in Worcester and lastly accepting a position in the treasurer's office of the City of Worcester for the next 10 years before retiring. Marjorie leaves behind the family she loved so much, her dear and devoted husband Richard "Dick"; her children, Lori J. Robidoux and her partner Ken Payson of Rutland; Richard F. "Rick" McGinn and his wife Karen of West Boylston; two brothers, Ken Larson in Kansas and Lenny Larson in Virginia; two sisters, Virginia Rose and her husband David of Charlton, Donna Zito and her husband Nathan "Nat" of Auburn; three grandchildren whom she cherished, Capt. Maximilian Robidoux USAF and his wife Ashley, Andrew A.J. Robidoux, Megan Burrows and her husband Eric; four great grandchildren, Mercedes, Madison, Alice and Catherine; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Marjorie enjoyed the winters in Florida, and the beaches of Cape Cod. She devoted her life to her family, especially her grandchildren. She cherished the times she spent with her family watching her grandchildren grow and having all around her. The holidays and special times together were her greatest joys. Funeral services will be held Saturday October 19th 2013, at 11:00 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. A period of calling hours will be held Saturday, October 19th from 9:00 am to the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in Marjorie's name can be made to Alzheimer's Association 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
