When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life in manner so that when you die the world cries and you rejoice. Surrounding by her loving family, Mary (Gazal) Fayard, 83, of Worcester passed away peacefully on September 30, 2013. She is finally reunited with her beloved husband, George Ernest Fayard, who predeceased her in 1983. Mary is also rejoicing in her everlasting reunion with her dearest son, Kenneth Ernest Fayard, who predeceased her in 1974. She is survived by her children; George A. Fayard, Audrey Fulginitti, Mark J. Fayard and his wife Julia, and Tina Belinskas, all of Worcester. Mary leaves behind eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary was born on May 22, 1930 to Shaker and Amelia (Aboody) Gazal. She is predeceased by her twin brother Arthur Gazal three years ago to the day as well as her four sisters; Effie D'Errico, Florence Nasif, Ruth Boffoli, and Julie Desimone. Mary will forever be remembered as a great Mom, loving Sito, a caring friend, and above all a good person. She was an avid homemaker and enjoyed the simple things in life; the love of her family, the laughter of her grandchildren, the importance of a good meal, a strong cup of coffee, and the quality of a good paper towel. She enjoyed taking daily shopping trips to her favorite stores with her daughters, watching her thrillers, playing Bingo, and cooking. She was an excellent cook and often made her signature rice pilaf for her daughter's cafe every Friday night. She loved without any reservation and gave without any hesitation and will be forever remembered and missed by those who loved her. May she rest in peace now among the angels. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester and again on Friday, October 4, 2013 from 9-10 a.m. in church prior to her funeral service.
