Louis P. Grillo, 80 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. Louis is survived by two brothers, Peter Grillo with whom he lived and Rosario (Riz) J. Grillo and his wife Mary of Shrewsbury; two sisters, Concetta DeCaro and Rose M. Grillo both of Worcester; a niece, Elaine Palumbo and her husband Michael of Spencer; three nephews, Robert P. DeCaro and his wife Maryellen of Millbury, Michael R. Grillo and his wife Erin of New York City and Joseph D. Grillo and his wife Hilary of Brooklyn, NY; several great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother-in-law, Samuel J. DeCaro. Louis was born in Worcester, a son of the late Peter and Carmella (Cosentino) Grillo and has lived here all his life. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade. He graduated from Worcester Junior College with his Associates Degree in Accounting and went on to Clark University graduating with his Bachelors in Accounting. Louis worked as a Certified Public Accountant for many companies. He also worked as a comptroller for Brookfield Shoe Company for numerous years retiring in 1980. Louis' enjoyments in life were spending time with his family at their Cape Cod Home and his trips to Florida. Services for Louis will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 3rd from 10:00-11:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior to his funeral service.
