Armand J. Paul, 81, of Worcester, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at Saint Vincent Hospital surrounded by those who loved him. Armand was born on March 12, 1932, in Oxford, MA, one of nine children born to the late Ernest and Delina (Gallant) Paul. He was a graduate of Oxford High School. He leaves his devoted companion, friend, and partner for more than forty-eight years, Anthony L. Vigliotti; five sisters, Dolores Boisvert, Jackie Green, Lorraine Martin, Loretta Robin and Judy Sullivan and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two brothers and a sister, Ernie, Joseph Paul and Theresa Carpenter. Armand worked as an upholsterer and casket lining specialist for over forty years at the former Sessions Casket Company. Following his retirement, he worked as a professional funeral attendant at the former Manzi Funeral Home and Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel. He was a devoted Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church in Worcester. Armand will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He will be remembered as a very giving and loving man, always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. He enjoyed playing the lottery and his winter trips with Anthony to Florida. Family, friends, and others whose lives Armand touched are invited to MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester from 10:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2013. His funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the funeral home. Burial will follow to St. John Cemetery, Worcester.
