Ruth M. (Cobill) Marzilli

Ruth M. (Cobill) Marzilli,94, of Worcester died peacefully Saturday September 21,2013 in the St Francis Home surrounded by her loved ones. Her husband Charles R. Marzilli died February 17, 2010. Ruth leaves her loving children; Robert Marzilli and his wife Sharon of Worcester , Nancy Marzilli-Mhlaba and her husband Lenny of Newton. Four granddaughters; Lauren Schuller and her husband Peter, Kimberly and Julia Mhlaba, Meleni Mhlaba-Adebo and her husband Olumide. 1 great granddaughter Carmen, and a great grandson Jabulani,and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a sister Jane Cobill. Ruth was born in Worcester daughter of the late George and Marie (Gamble) Cobill and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. Ruth enjoyed being a homemaker, but also worked for many years for the Wright Line Company as a Credit Analyst before she retired. Ruth was a long time member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Worcester, were she was very active and served on the Alter Guild. She was a member of the Chaffin's Women's Club, and the Women's Auxiliary American Legion Post in West Boylston. Ruth was a loving mother who always put the needs of her family before herself. She was a warm, caring, and compassionate person. Ruth and Charlie loved spending time together at the beaches of Cape Cod, Maine, and many winters in Florida. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Ruth's funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 25. With a service at 11:00AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Worcester. A calling hour will be held from 9:30AM until the time of the service.
