Linda was born in Worcester, daughter of Habor and Ruth (Johnson) Ball. She graduated from North High Class of 1961 and lived in Worcester until moving to Natick recently. Linda worked as an underwriter for the former State Mutual life Insurance Company for 17 years, before accepting a position with the City of Worcester School department working at several city schools including Clark Street, Elm Park, Belmont Street and Harlow Street schools before retiring in 2006 after 22 years. Linda was a very devoted mother to her three surviving children and will be greatly missed by the family she loved so much. She leaves her three children, Jennifer L. McHugh and her husband Kurt of Natick, twins Meagan J. Platt and her husband Bryan of Ellington, CT, and Matthew J.H. Pervier of Worcester; a brother, Jeffrey Ball in Florida and a sister, Wendy K. Monfreda and her husband Ralph of Worcester; four grandchildren she adored, Arianna, Zackery, Mackenna, and Griffin; Nieces and nephews including Jaimie Hill, Jessica and Joshua Monfreda, extended family and friends. A grandson, Ethan R.H. Pervier passed away in 2003. Linda was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed knitting, watching the Red Sox and Patriots and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was a dedicated Mimi, who found her greatest joy with them. Calling hours are planned for Wednesday September 18th from 5 to 8 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will follow at 10:00 am Thursday, September 19that the funeral home. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
