Daniel J. Ferrantino, 66 of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. Daniel is survived by his beloved wife of forty-two years, Gayle J. (Stone) Ferrantino; his son and daughter in law Daniel J. Ferrantino, II and Hollie Anne (Hubbard) Ferrantino of Worcester; two brothers, Pete Ferrantino and his wife Lisa of Worcester and Joe Ferrantino and his wife Donna of Ware; a sister, Carol Levine and her husband Danny of Worcester; a step-brother, Jim Stone and his wife Linda of Worcester; two step-sisters, Crystal Stone and her husband Jeff Johnson of Webster and Nancy Stone of Dayville, CT; two sisters-in-law, Marie Stone of Oxford and Debbie Stone Santon of Sutton; numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren. He is predeceased by his step-father, Jack Stone, Sr.; a brother, Angie Ferrantino, Jr.; two step-brothers, Jack Stone, Jr. and Paul "Hunky" Stone, Sr.; a step-sister, Cheryl Stone Carlson Storey; a brother-in-law, Bill Storey. Daniel was born in Worcester, a son of the late Angelo P. Ferrantino and Lillian R. (Moble) Ferrantino-Stone. He is a disabled veteran serving his country in the United States Army from 1965 to 1968. Daniel worked as a supervisor for the City of Worcester Department of Public Works for thirty-six years before his retirement in 2003. Daniel was a member of the Singletary Rod and Gun Club in North Oxford and the American Legion Post 435 in Worcester. "Love You Always and Always Miss You. Rest in Peace Dan." Services for Daniel will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. A period of calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 10th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior to his funeral Mass.
