Marion T. (Palaio) Jerszyk, 90, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 28, 1922, the daughter of the late Francesco Palaio and Concetta (Fulginiti) Palaio. She was the widow of Larry A. Jerszyk who predeceased her in 1960, Marion was also predeceased by her sister Rose (Palaio) Kolosky and her brother Gus Palaio. She leaves behind her children, Linda A. (Jerszyk) Ernst, wife of Peter T.Ernst, Robert A. Jerszyk, Sr.and his wife Jody (Stockwell) Jerszyk, and Donna Jerszyk-Hollis and her partner David E. Van Kennen, as well as five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her four sisters: Carmella (Palaio) Keyes, Mary (Palaio) Prunier, Ann (Palaio) Carson, and Theresa (Palaio) Johnson, as well as her dear friend Rita Conway, who was like a sister to her. Marion was a caring and fun -loving women who enjoyed life and devoted herself to raising her children and to her large, close-knit family. She greeted everyone with a warm smile and freely dispensed with "I Love You"s. It will be difficult to fill the void that her passing has left and she will be missed by all that knew her. Her family would like to thank the staff of the Critical Care Unit at St. Vincent's Hospital in Worcester; they took excellent care of her during her final days. They are extremely grateful to Bea Nah, her nursing aide, who was so kind and thoughtful to her. Funeral arrangements have been made through the Mercadante Funeral Home, Plantation St. Worcester, where her calling hours will be held Friday evening, August 9th, from 6 to 8PM. There will be a funeral Mass on Saturday, August 10th, at 10AM at Our Lady of Loreto Church. In Worcester, followed by internment in Notre Dame cemetery.
