Sharon Elizabeth Saari

Sharon E. Saari, 57 OAKHAM - Sharon E. Saari, 57, of Oakham, formerly of Worcester, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2013, in Umass Memorial Medical Center after being stricken suddenly at home. Sharon is survived by her loving mother Carolyn (Wade) Stekly; her three brothers, Wayne and his wife Sandra of Westborough, Gorden and his life companion Millie of Worcester, and Glenn and his life companion Marie of Oakham; her half-brother Bruce and his wife Dana of Connecticut; her sister, Donna Valente of Worcester; and her half-sister Cheryl Ann Battistoni and her husband Raymond of Connecticut; aunts, uncles, cousins, several nephews and nieces including her adored Lillianna Saari. Sharon was predeceased by her father Bruce and her brother in law, Mauro Valente. Sharon was born in Worcester on May 31, 1956. She was a 1974 graduate of South High School. She loved animals and worked on several farms in Worcester County. She was a cowgirl. Sharon loved the natural world, particularly the wildlife that surrounded her home in Oakham. She especially enjoyed preparing delicious meals for family and friends during holiday gatherings. She will be sadly missed. Funeral services and burial are private. There are no calling hours.
