Ann (Sahagian) Martin

Ann P. (Sahagian) Martin,93, of Worcester died peacefully July 26, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. Her husband, Alishan L. Martin Sr. predeceased her. Ann is survived by her children Alishan Martin Jr. and his wife Esther, Nancy M. Lapriore and her husband Frank, and Debra A Martin all of Worcester. Ann was the doting and adoring grandmother of her only granddaughter Alicia Lapriore. She also leaves several nephews, nieces, and friends that thought of her as their own mother. She was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Birch Sahagian, and a sister Rose Sahagian. Ann was born in Worcester daughter of the late Stephen and Maritza (Titus) Sahagian and lived here most of her life. She was a graduate of North High School. Ann loved being a Homemaker. After she raised her family,she became a Florist and worked for the former Salo Flower Shop for many years before she retired. Ann was a long time faithful member of The Church of the Blessed Sacrament and its Women's Guild. She served in many capacities, including CYC instructor,and prepared all the Altar Cloths for many years, she was always there to help with whatever needed to be done. Ann loved to read, do her crossword puzzles,and enjoyed gardening. She had a great affection for animals. However her most precious times were those spent with her family. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Ann's funeral will be held Tuesday July 30, 2013, with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00AM in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament , 555 Pleasant St. A visiting hour with the family IN THE CHURCH will be held from 9:30AM to 10:30AM. Interment with her husband will be in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and in tribute to Ann, the family would like that you do something kind for someone in need.
