Joseph S. Salvadore, 84, of Worcester, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013, in the home he and his wife shared with their daughter. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Eileen B. (Wrixon) Salvadore; a daughter Eileen Veroneau of Worcester; a son, Paul J. Salvadore and his wife Danielle of Worcester; two granddaughters, Stephanie and Michelle. He was born in Hartford, CT, son of Paul and Sebastiana (Avolese) Salvadore. Following the untimely death of his mother he was raised by his father. He grew up in Barre, and graduated from Barre High School. Joseph served our great nation in the United States Air Force, during the Korean Conflict. Upon his return from the service, Joseph and his wife raised their beautiful family in the Webster Square section of Worcester. Joseph worked as a machinist at Parker and Harper Company and the family belonged to Our Lady of Angels Church. He was a family man, who emphasized that love and closeness was all a family needed to be happy. He was a loving husband and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. Calling Hours and Funeral Services for Joseph will be held on Tuesday, July 16, In MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester, with calling hours from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m., followed immediately by his Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Interment and Military Funeral Honors will follow at Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester.
