Eleanor M. (Lomartire) Anderson, 93, of Worcester, passed away peacefully, in her daughter Kathy's arms on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in The Christopher House of Worcester. Her husband Clifford A. Anderson, predeceased her in 1997. Eleanor is survived by a son, Ronald C. Anderson of Frostproof, FL; two daughters, Carol D. Carrier and her husband John Mitsch of Lutz, FL and Kathy Munday and her husband Frederick of Harwich, MA; eight grandchildren, Debra, Diane, Ronnie, David, Brian, Michael, Kelli and Erik; ten great grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three brothers and two sisters, Anthony, Angelo and Alfred Lomartire, Anna Ludovico and Josephine Capurso. Eleanor was born in Worcester, daughter of the late N. Salvatore and Addolorata (Lomartire) Lomartire, and has lived here all her life. Eleanor was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, she dedicated her life to her family and to providing them with a home that was full of love and encouragement. She enjoyed baking, cooking, crochet, knitting and tending to her garden. She will be lovingly remembered for her Sunday Dinners of Macaroni and Meatballs for family, friends and friends of friends; and as her family recalls with loveif you were in the area, you were welcome to stop for dinner. Calling hours for Eleanor will be held on Monday, July 8, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 9, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester.
