Joanna R. (Grampietro) Caporelli, 81, of Jefferson died unexpectedly Tuesday June 11, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Domenic A. Caporelli, her loving children, Joseph A. Caporelli of Jefferson, Rosann M. Pezzella and her husband Ralph of Jefferson with whom she recently lived with, and Gail M. Caporelli of Blackstone, MA. Joanna was a loving grandmother to her grandson Michael. Joanna is also survived by many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a grandson William Goulet, and a brother Thomas Grampietro. Joanna was born in Worcester daughter of the late Joseph and Anna M.(D'Argenis) Grampietro and lived in Worcester most of her life before moving to Holden, then Jefferson. She was a graduate of David Hale Fanning Trade School, where she took dress making classes that she really enjoyed. Joanna was a long time member of the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann. She loved to travel and was a great cook who made a great pasta fagioli! She enjoyed a good glass of wine, but most of all her time with her family meant the most to her. She was a great lady who will be sadly missed by her family and friends . A period of calling hours will be held on Thursday June 20, from 9:00AM to 11:00AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. followed by a graveside service in St. Johns Cemetery.
