Gloria (Capelle) Habib, 80, of West Palm Beach, Florida formerly of Worcester passed away Saturday, June 8th 2013 in her home after an illness. Her husband of 32 years, Edward Habib Sr., passed away in 1987. Gloria is survived by two sons; Edward Habib Jr. and his wife Zorita "ZeZe" ( Zinkevich) Habib of Worcester, Michael Habib and his long term partner Mark B. Minter of West Palm Beach; She also leaves two grandchildren, Edward III and Joseph Habib; Nieces, nephews, a sister in law, and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Anthony Capelle. Gloria was born in Worcester, and graduated of David Hale Fanning Trade School. A lifelong resident of Worcester, Gloria lived and raised her family here until moving to West Palm Beach in 2011. She started her career working for American Telephone and Telegraph Company and eventually retired as a Telephone Systems Analyst from Wright Line on Gold Star Blvd after working there 25 years. Gloria enjoyed socializing and lunching with friends in addition to her spending time at the Senior Center of Worcester prior to moving to Florida. She loved playing the slot machines and was quite fond of raw oysters. There are no calling hours. Her funeral service will be held Thursday, June 13th at 10:00 A.M. in St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna St. Burial next to her husband Ed will follow in Hope Cemetery. Because of Gloria's love of animals, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA), 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130. or to any local animal shelter of the donor's choice.
