Peter P. Thibodeau, 62, of Worcester passed away, Friday, May 24th 2013 joining his dear wife of 20 plus years Joanne (Zukowski) Laraia, Thibodeau almost 2 years since she passed away on August 5th of 2011. Peter was born in Worcester; his mother was the late Claire A. (Normandin) Thibodeau. He Joined the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War to serve his country. He has lived here all his life. Peter is survived by his children, Michelle M. Thibodeau of Worcester, Kevin P. Thibodeau and his wife Gretchen of Shrewsbury, Sheri L. Barry and her husband Vincent of Spencer, Nicole Goyette and her husband David of Oxford, and Jeffrey Laraia of Worcester ; his father Patrick Thibodeau , Sr. and his longtime companion Frannie Finnegan of Worcester; siblings, Patrick Thibodeau, Jr. of Worcester, Paul A. Thibodeau of Royalston, Michelle M. Hall of Alaska, and Margaret M. Powers in Florida; fourteen grandchildren, including, Jacob, Kaitlyn and Emma: four great grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Peter worked in the Deli Department of the Price Chopper Supermarket, Sunderland Rd Store for many years before retiring due to illness. He also worked as a Bartender for over 30 years for several area establishments. Peter enjoyed playing and watching Sports especially Baseball and Football. The beaches of Hampton Beach in the summer with family and friends. At onetime he was also a longtime Little League Coach for the Connie Mack League. A Memorial mass will be celebrated Wednesday June 5th at 10:00 am in St Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike Rd. Shrewsbury. Burial with his wife in Notre Dame Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham 01701.
