Francis V. Bailargeon III, 41, of Shrewsbury passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 12th 2013. Francis was born in Worcester, devoted son of Aileen M. (Smith) Lovejoy and step son of the late Thomas E. Lovejoy. He began his young life in Worcester, before moving with his family to Shrewsbury where he graduated from Shrewsbury High School. For a brief time he attended Johnson & Wales Culinary Institute to pursue his love of cooking, returning to the Shrewsbury and Worcester area, where he lived ever since. Francis worked most of his life in various positions as a cook, before becoming a self employed landscaper and most recently in metal recycling. He found peace in the outdoors, loved to fish, camp, and enjoyed the forest and nature. His mom (Ma), was his inspiration and he cherished the times he could spend with her. Francis leaves behind his beloved daughter Faith Lee Gray, who he held very dear to his heart, his devoted mother Aileen M. (Smith) Lovejoy, his father, Francis V. Baillargeon, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Delbert and Eleanor Smith of Worcester; devoted aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who loved him dearly. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family, Thursday, May 16th 2013 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Worcester. His funeral will be held Friday, May 17th, beginning at 12 noon from the funeral home with a Mass to be held at 1:00 p.m. in St Matthews Episcopal Church, 695 Southbridge Street, Worcester. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to the Faith Gray Educational Fund, care of Peoples United Bank.
