Walter Perduta, 92, of Worcester, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2013 in Saint Vincent Hospital. His wife, Katharina (Kopp) Perduta, predeceased him in 2008. Walter is survived by two sons, Nobert J. Perduta and his wife Janie of Lomis, CA and Peter A Perduta and his wife Kathy of Shrewsbury; two daughters, Inga McGurl and her husband William of Paxton and Sonya Perduta-Fulginiti of Phoenix, AZ; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Irene Perduta and Olga Mytnik both in Poland; a sister in law, Ann Stein in Germany; many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by four brothers, Anthony, Victor, Thoiphal and Frank Perduta and by a sister, Hedwig Choptja. He was born in Jaroslaw, Poland, son of the late Joseph and Julia (Bajda) Perduta. Walter worked for many years as a Tool and Die Maker at John J. Adams Company in Worcester. He was an avid soccer fan. He was a member of the German Social Club and enjoyed dancing the Polka with everyone. Walter's family would like to thank the wonderful people in the Pulmonary Care Unit at Saint Vincent Hospital. Their care and compassion made Walter's stay more bearable. There are no calling hours. Funeral-a graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 16, at 12 Noon in Section Heritage II at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (route 56 North) in Paxton, about mile beyond the town common.
