Grace P. Flaminio

Grace P. (Pedone) Flaminio, 83, of Worcester, passed away peacefully Saturday May 4,2013 in St. Vincent Hospital ,surrounded by her loving family. Her husband Frank A. Flaminio died in 1991. Grace leaves her devoted family; two sons, Frank A Flaminio and his wife Donna, John V. Flaminio and his wife Eva with whom she lived, three daughters Annette Dell'Ovo and her husband Frank of Holden, Angela Martini and her husband Joseph of Paxton, and Vikki Ann Brodeur and her husband John of Worcester. She was the doting grandmother to Erica, Kristina, Joseph, Michael, Daniel, John, Anthony,Frank, Matthew, Nicholas, Alex, and Rene. And loving great grandmother to Sophia,, Joseph, Jaden, Ava, Adrianna, Anthony & Jack. Grace also leaves two brothers, John Pedone and his wife Gail of Grafton, and Victor Pedone of Shrewsbury,also a sister Lena Vigliatura and her husband Jack of Shrewsbury, three sister in laws, Lucille DeSantis, Angela DeAngelis,and Lena Sbrogna, and many cousins, nephews and nieces. Grace was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Angelo and Frances (Damato) Pedone and lived here all her live She was a graduate of Commerce High School. Grace was a sales clerk many years ago at Charles Kay Clothiers. When her daughter and son in law opened Dell'Ovo's Restaurant on Shrewsbury St. she started working there and quickly became their #1 waitress! Grace loved working in the restaurant and she made many friends there, she retired several years ago. Grace was a life member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church. She enjoyed her weekly card games with her friends, loved to play the lottery and enjoyed a good day at the Casino. However her most treasured and precious times were those spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, she just adored them, and also made them know who was in charge!! Grace will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Gracie's funeral will be held Thursday from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann 24 Mulberry St. Visiting hours with the family will be held on Wednesday from 4:00PM to 7:00PM in the funeral home. Interment will be with her husband in St. Johns Cemetery.
