Robert L. Dickieson, 59 of Clinton, formerly of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in Clinton Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Robert is survived by his devoted wife of thirty-two years, Eileen M. (Donohue) Dickieson; three daughters, Shannon L. Dickieson of Leicester, Sabrina L. Dickieson of Worcester and Shana L. Anjum and her husband Tanvir of Lowell; two sons, Robert O. Dickieson of California and Donald L. Dickieson of Clinton; three brothers, Wayne Dickieson and Myron Imbody both of Worcester and Leonard Imbody of Leicester; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two brothers, Gary and Donald Dickieson and two sisters, Gail Hamilton and Beverly Burke. Robert was born in Worcester, a son of the late Donald C. and Clara (Cheney) Dickieson. He graduated from South High School and lived in Worcester until 1993. He later moved to Clinton where he has resided ever since. Robert served his country in the U. S. Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. He worked as a machinist for various companies for over twenty years retiring in 2000. Robert had the best sense of humor and he was the King of never-ending stories that made no sense at all. Anybody around him was sure to have a smile on their face. He enjoyed fishing, poker, watching the Patriots and golf, camping and cooking. Robert was an avid collector of everything. He loved his dogs and considered them to be an important part of his family. He truly believed he was the best singer around and couldn't help busting out a tune or two. Robert will truly be missed but our memories will last forever.
