Ruth H. (Brouillette) Dacri, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully Friday, April 26th 2013 with her family gathered beside her. Ruth was born in Worcester, one of five children of Joseph and Eva (Lomme) Brouillette. She graduated from Worcester Girls Trade, met and married the man that would become her cherished husband of the next 41 years, Michael J. Dacri. Together they settled in the Grafton Hill section of Worcester to raise their family and has lived here all her life Ruth cherished and loved her role as a housewife, mother and grandmother. Michael and Ruth together raised five children, and thirteen grandchildren, until Michael passed away in January of 1993. Following Michael's passing twelve great grandchildren joined the family. Ruth is survived by the family she loved and whom loved her as much; Deacon Paul J. Dacri and his children, Jennifer and her husband Russ Martell, Joanne Dacri, Jill and her husband Sam Vazquez, Timothy and his wife Rachel, Jeanine M. Dacri and her spouse Lucia Camara and their children, Nicole, Robert, and Elizabeth, Steve Dacri, Christine M. Bolivar, her husband Steven and their daughters, Danielle and her husband Michael O'Rourke and Gabrielle Bolivar, Michael J. Dacri, Jr. his wife Lauren and their children, Michael III, Alexander, Michael and Nicole; Twelve great grandchildren: a sister, Dolores Pelletier: Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A daughter in law, Patricia Dacri, brother, Edmund Brouillette, sister Irene Waterman and infant sibling all pre deceased her. Ruth was devoted to her Catholic religion and faith. She was an active member of St. Stephen's Church, a volunteer for the medical oncology department of Saint Vincent Hospital; a great cook, baker, arts and crafts enthusiast and loved to knit and crochet. She cherished the times that her family was with and around her. The holidays were special to her where she could cook, bake and share good times. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Monday, April 29th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Tuesday morning from the funeral home with a procession to St Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton St. for her Celebration of Life Mass at 11:30 am. Burial next to her husband Michael will follow in St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St Stephen's Restoration fund, 357 Grafton St. or Central MA Hospice, Inc., 191 Pakachoag St Auburn 01501. The Dacri family would like to thank the Staff of the Knollwood long term care center for the care compassion and understanding they gave to Ruth during a difficult time.
