Mary (DeSimone) Giuliano, 95, of Worcester died peacefully Sunday April 21, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Her husband James Giuliano pre deceased her in 1984. Mary is survived by her devoted family; two son's James Giuliano and his wife Karen of West Chester,PA, and Francis Giuliano and his wife Beverly of Paxton, She was the doting grandmother to; Karen Legere, Linda Russo, Theresa Lane, Christian and Mark Giuliano and great grandmother to; Briana, Matthew, Maria, Melanie, Madison, Emily, Joshua, Lucia, and Raelyn. She also leaves a very dear and close friend Wendy Remick, and several nephews and nieces. Mary was predeceased by her brother Carlo DeSimone, and her sister Annie Patriarca. Mary was born in Worcester daughter of the late Antonio and Marta (Leardi) DeSimone and has lived here all her life. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. Mary worked as a sales associate for many years at the Fairlawn Package Store in Shrewsbury where she made many lifelong friends. Previous to that she worked at the former Woolworths Store and Betty Ann's Bakery. Mary was a life member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann Church, and it's Golden Years Club. Mary enjoyed playing cards, and loved going to work! Mary had a knack for meeting and talking to people and making new friends. She was very personable. However her most treasured times where those spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. With gratitude and love Mary's sons would like to thank her granddaughters for the care and compassion their grandmother enjoyed throughout her life. With a special thanks to Karen for her unyielding efforts to comfort her grandmother in her final days. Mary's funeral will be held Saturday April 27, from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann. Visiting hours with the family will be held on Friday from 5:00PM to 7:00PM in the funeral home. Interment with her husband will be in St John's Cemetery.
