Lorraine C. Paquette

Lorraine C. Paquette, 65, of Millbury formerly of Worcester died peacefully Wednesday April 17, 2013 in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Lorraine leaves her devoted father Earl "Babe" Paquette, loving sisters Jeanne A. Jette of Whitinsville, Denise Niemitz and her wife Tracy Mankham of Hardwick, and an aunt Lillian Langevin. Lorraine was also the doting aunt to Monique Hickey of Medford, Christine Thurber of Sutton, Steven Jette of Auburn, Emily Forrest of Hamden CT. Ellen Rafer of Spencer, Carl Niemitz of Bloomfield CT. and many great nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her mother Cecile E. (Carriere) Paquette in 2005. Lorraine was born in Worcester and was a graduate of Holy Name Catholic High School. She attended Bridgewater State College and Clark University. She graduated from Quinsigamond Community College with an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Care. Lorraine was a teacher at the Rainbow Child Development Center in Worcester before she retired. She loved being with and guiding children along their early path in life. Lorraine was a long time member of Holy Family/St Joseph's Parish. She enjoyed playing board games and was an enthusiastic Trivia Persuit player. Lorraine was also skilled in water color painting, and enjoyed all types of crafts. Lorraine was a sweet and lovable person who really enjoyed being with her family. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Lorraine's funeral will be held Wednesday April 24, 2013 from the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in the Church of the Holy Family/ St. Joseph 35 Hamilton St. Visiting hours with the family are 4:00PM to 7:00PM on Tuesday in the funeral home.
