Clarence A. Tolson, Sr.,94 Worcester - Clarence A Tolson, Sr., 94, of Worcester passed away peacefully Friday, April 12, 2013 in his home. His wife of nearly 50 years, Beatrice L. (Chagnon) Tolson predeceases him. He is survived by his children, Clarence A Tolson, Jr. and his wife Joan of Worcester, Joseph W. Tolson of Worcester, Phyllis E. Hazard of Worcester; a sister, Barbara Robbins of Georgia; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a daughter, June Gray; four brothers, Robert, James, Jerry and Joseph Tolson and three sisters, Pearl Saunders, Ida Tolson and Theresa Camble. Born in Worcester, Clarence was one of eight children born to Joseph and Jennie (Johnson) Tolson. Clarence has lived in Worcester all his life. Mr. Tolson worked for many years as a hat blocker for Paul's Hats before retiring. Calling hours for Clarence will be held on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester.
