David A Panarelli

May 27, 1953 — April 6, 2013

David A. Panarelli, 59, of Worcester, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on Saturday, April 6, 2013, one month shy of 60, and his 25th wedding anniversary. David is survived by his loving wife of nearly twenty-five years, Martie L. (Barrett) Panarelli; his three sons, Jason F. Panarelli of Raleigh, NC, Angelo D. Panarelli and David A. Panarelli, Jr. and only daughter, Amelia Rose Panarelli of Worcester. His "little brother", Ronald A. Panarelli, predeceased him on February 9, 2013, leaving his wife, Anna M. Panarelli, and daughters, Joelle A. Panarelli, and Alyssa M. Panarelli all of Worcester. Also leaving uncles, aunts, multiple cousins, nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters in law from MA, NC, CA, and Montana. David was born in Worcester, son of the late Angelo and Esther (Castiello) Panarelli, and has lived here most of his life. He graduated from Assumption College, and later Ambassador University with his wife, Martie in 1990. While at Assumption he was named an "All American" baseball player, 2nd in the nation in hitting and was inducted to the Assumption College Baseball Hall of Fame. He later coached professional baseball in Italy for several seasons. David was a multi talented man who had a grasp of knowledge in many aspects of life; he was a realtor, a restaurateur, math and special education teacher (specialty; Autism), business manager for international magazine, a licensed pilot, a coach, golfer, business manager of masonry restoration business he owned and operated with his late brother, and was involved in international ministries with his wife. David also spoke Italian. Most of all, like his brother Ron, he loved to talk about God's coming Kingdom and His Word. He had a big heart for people and for God and shared that love in his work in multiple ministries with his family. But, his favorite ministry was his family, raising two children with autism. You could always count on David for a big wide smile and an encouraging word. His name means "Beloved", and that he was by many. You'd see him talking to anyone from all walks of life, like they'd been long time friends. He loved cooking for people, talking and laughing with them, as he cooked. His latest hobby was learning the piano in the past year singing praise songs with his daughter Amelia. He talked often of being in the Kingdom of Heaven with his loved ones, and yes, cooking, eating, and laughing ALL finally together Eternally Forever. Calling hours and Funeral Service to be held at First Assembly of God church facility. Friends and relatives are invited to gather with David's family for calling hours on Thursday, April 11, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church, 30 Tyler Prentiss Road (off Lincoln Street, shortly after Lincoln Plaza), and again on Friday, April 12, from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by his Funeral Service at 11 a.m. in the church. Interment will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the David A.
