Rose Fratantonio

Rose Fratantonio, 86, of Holden passed peacefully on Sunday April 7 at the Christopher House. Rose leaves a sister Mary Smith of Delray Beach, Florida, a brother Domenic Fratantonio of Shrewsbury, and several dear nieces and nephews. She also leaves a caring brother-in-law, Edward Burnham of Holden, in whose home she resided for the past 20 years. Rose was predeceased by four brothers; Joseph, Victor, Frank, and George Fratantonio; and two sisters Congetta Burnham, and Catherine Goodrow. Rose was born in Worcester daughter of the late Cesare and Teresa (Cutilli) Fratantonio. She was a dedicated employee in the dining services department at the Memorial Hospital until her retirement 1992. Rose was an exceptionally kind lady, and had a great connection with children. She enjoyed being with her family and was a determined woman in all activities she undertook. Rose will be sadly missed by everyone whose lives she touched. A funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday April 10, at 10:00AM in the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann. 24 Mulberry St. There are no calling hours. Relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at church. There is no procession from the funeral home. Interment will be with her parents in Mount Vernon Cemetery in West Boylston. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Best Buddies, Attn: Chris Mallon, Po Box 51597, Boston, MA 02205 or the Restoration Fund at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 24 Mulberry St. Worcester, MA.01604. The family has selected the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. to assist them with Rose's funeral.
