Colombo "Roy" Repetto, of Worcester, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 3rd 2013 with his family by his side. Colombo was born in Mezzanego, province of Genoa, Italy one of five sons born to Paolo and Giacinta (Boggiano) Repetto. He grew up and was educated in Italy served in the "Corpo degli Alpini" immigrating to the United States in 1980 at the age of 40. He met and married the women who would become his devoted wife for the next 31 years, Debra (Bercume) Repetto. Together they settled in Worcester to raise their family and have lived there ever since, along with his mother and father in law, Roland and Virginia Bercume "Meme" and "Pepe". Roy is survived by his wife Debbie; the three children he cherished, Stephen of Brooklyn NY, Jessica and her fiancée Matteo DiTerlizzi of Manhattan, and Michael of Worcester; a brother, Ugo Repetto of Portofino, Italy; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Three brothers, Bruno, Remo and Renzo Repetto pre deceased him. Colombo took employment in the Worcester Centrum now DCU center in the operations department for 28 years before retiring. Roy was a devoted husband, father and brother. He cherished his Italian heritage passing it on to his children. He loved Formula 1 racing, foreign automobiles, high fashion and music especially "The Blues". Roy believed his family was his life's inspiration and cherished every moment he could spend with them. Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours, Saturday April 6th from 9 am to 11:00 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 am at St. John Church, 44 Temple Street. Burial will be private. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
