Michael A. Almeida, 31 of Worcester passed away Sunday, March 24th 2013 at the University of Mass Hospital from injuries suffered in a one car accident on Route 140 in West Boylston. Michael was born and raised in Hudson; he attended Assabet Valley Vocational School moving to Worcester over 11 years ago. Michael is survived by the family he loved so much; His father Joao Almeida of Worcester; his mother and step father, Sandra and Manoel Dias of West Boylston; a brother, Alex Dias of West Boylston; five sisters, Anna, Kelly, and Ashley Almeida of Worcester, Jessica Dias of West Boylston and Elizabeth Almeida of Oxford; a nephew Giovanni Casiano; Many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. Michael was pre deceased by his grandparents, Manuel and Margarida Pacheco , Bernardino Barrigas and Constantina Barrigas; Michael was a beloved son, brother, uncle and a true Celtics fan at Heart. He will always be present watching the games with his family. He was full of Life and always joking, smiling and laughing. He loved Soccer, Cars and Basketball. He will truly be missed deeply and always be in the hearts of everyone who knew him. He was employed as a Lot Attendant for the Patrick Motors Company for the past 7 years. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Thursday March 28th from 4 pm to 7 pm in The MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. His funeral will be held Friday, March 29th from the funeral home with a Liturgy of the Word, celebrated at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 100 Worcester Street. West Boylston. Burial will follow in Mt Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston.
