Nola "Faye" (Burt) Borrelli, 88, of Worcester passed away with her devoted family gathered beside her Thursday March 7th 2013 after a period of declining health. Nola was born in Fort Worth, Texas, one of four children of Joseph and Valda (Jett) Burt. She grew up in Ft. Worth and graduated from Arlington Heights High School. At the age of 19, Faye met and married the love of her life for the next 39 years, Andrew Borrelli. In 1947, Nola and Andrew moved to Worcester to raise their family and have lived here ever since. Her husband, Andrew passed away on October 5th 1982. Faye is survived by her devoted three children, Joseph J. Borrelli and his wife Carolyn with whom she has lived the past 31 years, Nola J. Walls and her husband James of Worcester, Wayne V. Borrelli and his wife Laurie of Davidson, NC; 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; Neices, nephews, extended family and friends. She was pre deceased by a brother and two sisters. Nola began her employed years as a stitcher for the Phieffer Shoe Company in Worcester. She then took a position as a customer service agent for the former Wallach's Department Store for 12 years before retiring in 1983. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church. She enjoyed knitting, crochet and watching the Red Sox. But, Nola's most treasured moments were those spent as a mother, grand and great grandmother, caring for and taking pride in having her entire family with and around her. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Monday, March 11th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, March 12th from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. Burial next to her husband will follow in St John Cemetery.
